Conditions Of Entry
1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these terms and conditions of entry.
2. Entry into the competition (Competition) is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions. To enter the Competition, entrants must go to www.iloveleona.com.au (Website) and complete the online entry form specifying in 25 words or less “why do you want to go to this once-in-a-lifetime event?”. Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.
3. Entry is open to all residents of Australia but all entrants must be over 18 years of age. Employees and agents of the Promoter and their immediate families are not eligible to enter the Competition.
4. Entries must be the original independent creation of the entrant. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of all entries and to disqualify entrants if they tamper with the entry process. There is no restriction on the number of times entrants may enter the Competition subject to the following:
(a) each entry must be substantially unique; and
(b) each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with the entry requirements.
5. Competition commences at 12.00am AEST on Tuesday 22 April 2008 and concludes at 11.59pm AEST on Monday 28 April 2008. The entries will be judged daily on the following basis:
• entries submitted during the period 12.00am AEST on Tuesday 22 April – 11.59pm AEST Monday 28 April 2008 (inclusive) will be judged by the Promoter no later than 10.00am AEST on the day following each previous day of the Competition and entries that are not awarded a prize will be automatically re-entered into the following day’s entries.
Winners will be notified by phone or email according to the details provided in their entry. All entries are deemed received at the time of receipt NOT at the time of sending by the entrant. Late entries will not be eligible.
6. This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winners.
7. Each day of the Competition the entries will be judged as set out in clause 5 above and the most original and creative valid entries as judged by the Promoter in its discretion will win one of the following prizes as selected by the Promoter in its discretion:
• two x 2 tickets to see Leona Lewis in Sydney at the Museum of Contemporary Art on Tuesday 29 April 2008 [total 4 tickets per day] (Ticket Winners);
• one Sony Ericsson W890i Walkman® mobile phone handset [1 per day] pre-loaded with tracks from Leona Lewis’ new album, “Spirit”; or
• one copy of the Leona Lewis album “Spirit” [1 per day].
The maximum value of this total daily draw prize pool is valued at approximately A$1000 plus the money-can’t buy component to attend the Leona Lewis performance at the Museum of Contemporary Art. Ticket Winners must make their own travel arrangements, at their cost, to and from the event.
9. The total prize pool for the Competition is approximately $7380 plus the money-can’t-buy component. The prize values listed are the maximum values of the prizes. Each prize winner is only entitled to the prize awarded in the discretion of the Promoter as outlined above and is not entitled to additional prizing or cash reimbursement to compensate for any difference in actual prize redemption cost and approximate maximum value.
10. Supplying a valid email address, telephone number and postal address forms part of the conditions of entry into the Competition. The Promoter’s decision in relation to any aspects of the Competition is final and binding on every person who enters and no correspondence will be entered into.
11. Prize details are displayed on the Website. Where the prize involves a performance or a backstage pass or any other event, the Promoter shall not be responsible for transport, accommodation or any other such associated costs with the taking of the prize unless otherwise stated in these terms and conditions.
12. No prize is transferable nor can any prize be exchanged or be taken as cash. There will be no compensation or alternative prize if any winner cannot receive any aspect of the prize on the dates or in the manner specified on the Website for any reason and the Promoter reserves the right to award the prize to another entrant. The prize values are correct at time of printing and the Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation.
13. Under the Trade Practices Act 1974 (Cth) and other statutes there are some warranties and conditions that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified or can only be excluded, restricted or modified to a limited extent. The Promoter excludes all warranties and conditions to the extent allowable by these laws. The Promoter accepts no liability or responsibility of any kind for any defect with the prizes nor for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) which is suffered or sustained in connection with the Competition or the prize in any way to the fullest extent allowable by law.
14. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participants or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in this competition.
15. If for any reason this Competition is not capable of running as planned including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and reserves the right without liability to the entrants to cancel, modify, terminate or suspend the Competition. The Promoter does not assume any responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of entries.
16. All entries will become the property of the Promoter. By entering the Competition, unless otherwise advised by the entrant, each entrant consents to the information they submit with their entry being entered into a database and the Promoter may use this information in any media for future competition, promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference or consent or payment or other compensation to the entrant. The Promoter will collect personal information about entrants for the purposes of conducting the Competition and awarding the prizes. In accordance with the National Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1998 (Cth), entrants have a right to access most of the information the Promoter holds about them. Please refer to the Promoter’s privacy policy by contacting the Promoter at the address below for further details.
17. The Promoter is not responsible for any tax implications that may arise from winning a prize in the Competition. Entrants should seek independent financial advice about such matters.
18. These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between each entrant and the Promoter.
19. References to times in this terms and conditions is a reference to Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST).
